The Presidential Office kicked off the National Day celebrations on Oct. 6 with the light projection show, which features topics that are currently in the news, such as Taiwan pork and face masks, and commemorates late President Lee Teng-hui. Some people were worried there would be no celebrations this year due to the pandemic. President Tsai Ing-wen promised that the celebrations would not only go ahead as planned, but would be even better

A spotlight shines out from the top of the Presidential Office, turning it into a lighthouse illuminating its surroundings. The Presidential Office kicked off this year's National Day celebrations on Oct. 6 with a light projection show.
It's full of elements that the world identifies with Taiwan. Let us look back on all the recognition that Taiwan received this year.
Some people were worried there would be no celebrations this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The people of Taiwan have done their part to prevent COVID-19 from spreading, including wearing masks. Masks now come in a variety of colors. The show also showcased a cute pig adorned with a Republic of China flag and high-tech lines symbolizing 5G development. It also paid homage to late President Lee Teng-hui.

The show has been held for the past three years. It is taking place six times a night until Oct. 10 to help get people in the mood to celebrate National Day.
