Over time, this devotion grew into one of the district’s most significant folk traditions and was officially recognized as part of Taipei’s cultural heritage. In recent years, the festival has grown larger in scale, attracting tourists and younger generations alike. As a close neighbor of Qingshan Temple, Zhixing Market naturally takes part in this vibrant annual celebration.

Originally called “Irifunemachi” during the Japanese colonial era, Zhixing Market later settled into its current location within the lanes of Kangding Road, Xichang Street, and Guiyang Street. For decades, it has witnessed the ups and downs of Wanhua while preserving its deep cultural memory.
